The Steuben Association will participate in two scholarship exams, College and High School, and has awarded the prizes on June 22nd at our Annual Scholarship Night.
The 12th grade exam was hosted by the Police Reserve and held on March 28th, 2012 at the Police Academy from 6-9 pm.
The 8th grade exam was held in the spring at St. Stanilaus in Brooklyn in conjunction with the Pulaski Association (Date TBD).
Our scholarships are thanks to the generosity of our members making donations, large and small including the Monsee and Bielefeld families. The Grand Council of Steuben Associations, also generously donates.
The bulk of our donations come from foundations outside the Department. The Centurions, The New York Law Enforcement Foundation and the Police Reserve assist us throughout the year. The fraternal organizations are indebted to them for their interest, assistance and generosity. The
leaders of these organizations that we have come to know and wish to thank are Honorable Joseph Dippell Jr.,
Commissioner Reginald Ward, Honorable Mitch Levey and Retired P.O. John Wellenreuther, NCPD, President
Grand Counsel Steuben Associations.
